2010-2011球季：

In November 2010, most teams in the United Kingdom donned the red Poppy flower to commemorative the Remembrance Day. Most Liverpool &quotoppy Match" player shirts are donated to Royal British Legion for charity auction. Only very few shirts are leaked out to private collectors.


On 11 November 2010, Liverpool announced the donning of red poppy flower on the third shirts to be worn against Stoke City.

The &quotoppy Day" third match shirt bears a special red poppy embroidery on the chest.   


Liverpool 2010-2011 Third &quotoppy Match" Player Shirt - This is a match issued shirt of Stephen Darby.
Stephen Darby was neither named in the starting lineup nor on the bench for this match, as he was on loan to Notts County with effect from 1 November 2010.
Though this is so, the club has already prepraed poppy match shirts for all squad players at an earlier time.


A red poppy was stitched on the chest of the Stephen Darby match issued shirt.

2011-2012球季：

Since season 2009-2010, Liverpool participated in the Royal British Legion annual event of commemorating the Remembrance Day. In season 2009-2010, Liverpool didn't don any poppy logo on the shirt which amassed quite some criticism. In season 2010-2011, Liverpool's third shirt worn on 21 November 2010 against Stoke City donned with embroidered poppy on the chest of the shirts.
In season 2011-2012, Liverpool F.C. chose to commemorate the Remembrance Day in the Premier League home fixture on 5 November 2011 against Swansea City. This season, the shirt donned with heat-pressed poppy instead.

News released on 5 December 2011 at the official website, that all the match worn shirts of the Poppy Appeal match day were donated to Royal British Legion, and were put into online auction at ebay.


The curator was lucky enough in winning one of the Royal British Legion's ebay auction. The postpack of the poppy match shirt arrived bears the stamp of Royal British Legion too.


Liverpool 2011-2012 Home &quotoppy Appeal Match" Player Shirt - This is the actual match worn shirt of Charlie Adam.


Unlike the 2010-2011 third poppy match shirts donned with embroidered poppy, the 2011-2012 home poppy match shirts are donned with heat-pressed poppy.


The match worn shirt is fully autographed by the Liverpool F.C. squad, and comes with a club issued certificate of authenticity.


The 2011 poppy match worn shirt is fully autographed in the front. Even skipper Steven Gerrard who didn't play in this match (due to his injury) also signed on it.

2012-2013球季：

In season 2012-2013, the commemorate Premier League match for Remembrance Day was played on 11 November 2012 between Chelsea and Liverpool at Stamford Bridge. Liverpool donned a heat pressed red poppy flower on the home shirt.

Liverpool players paid a minute silence respects to the members of those involved in the armed forces.


Liverpool's young Spaniard player Suso was the only subsitute who was used in this match, who replaced Nuri Sahin at 59 mins in the second half.


Jesus Fernandez Saez, commonly known as Suso,  breaks into Liverpool's first team in season 2012-2013.


Liverpool conceded a goal to John Terry of Chelsea in the first half. Livepool equalized in the second half with Luis Suarez's header goal. The attack was initiated by a corner taken by Suso.


t's worth noting about the position of the red poppy flower ironed the shirt. Featured Steven Gerrard before the kick-off. The red poppy flower is ironed on in an upright  position - that means a calabash with a fat base.

On 20th November 2012, Liverpool F.C. announced in the official website that the Poppy Appeal match shirts are put into auctions at ebay.


The Suso shirt was advertised as "match worn" by Royal British Legion at the ebay auction.


On 7th December 2012, Liverpool F.C. announced in the official website that the Poppy shirts raised a record of UKP21,000 for the Royal British Legion.


Liverpool 2012-2013 Home &quotoppy Appeal Match" Player Shirt - Royal British Legion advertised it at ebay as "match worn shirt of Suso", but in fact it should be a match unworn spare as it bears an inverted Poppy flower.


Same as prior year, the fully signed poppy match shirt comes with a Certificate of Authenticity issued by the club.


The 2012 poppy match worn shirt is fully autographed in the front.


n seasons 2010-2011 and 2011-2012, the ebay auctions of Liverpool Poppy shirts were taken care by Merseyside RBL.
But in season 2012-2013, RBL centralized most teams' poppy shirts auction at its headquarters.  At the end of auctions, the latter didn't spontaneously post the winning bidders donation statements in RBL letterhead.


It was the curator who took the initiative writing to RBL headquarters, seeking for a donation statement as in prior years. The donation statement arrived one week later than the shirt.

In season 2013-2014, the commemorate Premier League match for Remembrance Day was played on 9 November 2013 between  Liverpool and Fulham at Anfield. Liverpool donned a heat pressed red poppy flower on the home shirt.


On 4th November 2013, Liverpool F.C. announced in the official website that the home match shirts for the Fulham match will be donned with Poppy to commemorate the Remembrance Day.

Liverpool's winger Victor Moses, signed on loan from Chelsea in September 2013, came onto the pitch at 75 minutes, being subsitute of Daniel Sturridge.


On 25th November 2013, Liverpool F.C. announced in the official website that the Poppy Appeal match shirts are put into auctions at ebay.

Liverpool 2013-2014 Home &quotoppy Appeal Match" Player Shirt - This is the actual match worn shirt of Victor Moses.


The Poppy is donned in the middle between the manufacturer motif and Liverbird crest. Note there aren't inverted Poppy like those in season 2012-2013.


The Poppy match worn shirt is fully autographed by the squad players of season 2013-2014.

在歐美及英聯邦各國的國殤紀念日，當地官員及民眾會在胸前衣襟佩帶虞美人花（和罌粟花同屬不同種）以作悼念。英国首相卡梅伦於2010年11月率团访问中国，正值國殤紀念日前後，英方全體訪華成員在胸前衣襟上都佩带上了纪念一次和二次大战阵亡将士的鲜红的虞美人小花。虞美人被中国方面误认为罌粟花。在中國，罌粟被聯想到鴉片戰爭。這個错误引發中英兩国间一場外交風波。卡梅倫與閣員在北京人民大會堂時，拒絕中方對他們除下罌粟花的要求。一名首相府人員說：「中方人員對我們說佩戴罌粟花是不恰當的，因為兩國曾經發生鴉片戰爭。我們告訴他們這花對我們有重大意義，我們所有人會繼續佩戴。」
